Herringbone Notch Lapel Blazer

A new blazer that already looks worn in is a difficult trick, and the herringbone does most of the work here. Alverra kept the weave fine so the pattern reads as texture from a distance rather than a statement, then cut the jacket oversized through the shoulder and body so it drapes instead of holding a sharp tailored line.

The notch lapel is standard, deliberately so, and the front fastens single breasted with a button cuff on a regular sleeve. Pockets do the rest of the talking: a welt pocket at the chest and two flap pockets set low at the hip, which is part of why the jacket looks relaxed rather than formal. It is unlined, so it stays light and layers over a shirt or a fine knit.

Sizes run S to 2XL and the cut is oversized and relaxed through the body and sleeves, so take your usual size for the roomy fit or go down one for something closer to a classic blazer line. Our model is 5'7" and wears the size S. Hand wash or dry clean. It goes to the office, to a long lunch, and over everything else in autumn, on the days when a proper coat would be too much and a jumper would not be enough.
