Striped Open Stitch Short Sleeve Knit Top

An open stitch changes what a striped top can do. Alverra knits this one loosely enough that air moves straight through it, which is what makes a knit wearable in warm weather at all, and the stripes are worked into the structure rather than printed on the surface. The result is semi-sheer, so most people wear it over a plain cami or a bralette and let the stitch do the talking.

It is cut relaxed through the body with a short sleeve and a shoulder seam that drops slightly down the arm, so nothing pulls when you reach. A ribbed round neckline and a ribbed hem give the loose crochet-like knit two firm edges to hang from, and it lands at the hip, which means it sits comfortably over both high-waisted trousers and a skirt without needing to be tucked.

Four colourways are made: Blue, Pink, Green and Coffee Brown, in sizes S to 2XL. Our model is 5'7" and wears a size S for the loose fit pictured, so take your usual size, or size down if you prefer it closer. Wash by hand and do not dry clean; treated that way the open stitch will keep its shape and its drape far longer.
