The stacked heel is finished in a warm natural tone that contrasts against the shaft, and the same tone runs as a stripe around the sole edge, so the base of the boot draws a line the eye follows. At about three and a half inches the heel is tall, but stacked and squared rather than tapered, which is what makes it walkable.
