Hooded Drawcord Waist Utility Jacket

Most utility jackets go one of two ways: sharp and stiff, or so oversized they lose their shape by lunchtime. Alverra split the difference here. The collar is cut wide and folds out across the shoulders with a hood tucked in behind it, while a drawcord at the waist pulls the volume in wherever you want it and lets it back out when you would rather have the room.

It closes with a zip under a covered snap placket, so nothing catches the wind at the front. Deep patch pockets sit where your hands land, the cuffs fasten on a snap tab, and the hem flares gently below the drawcord. The sleeves are generous enough for a jumper, and the whole jacket is machine washable, which matters more than it sounds on a jacket built for daily wear.

Seven colourways cover the practical end and the brighter one: Khaki, Black, Burgundy, Coffee Brown, Army Green, Beige and Pink. Sizes run S to 2XL in a loose, oversized cut that stays true to size; our model is 5'7" and wears the size S. It works as a rain-adjacent outer layer through autumn and over a knit once the weather turns properly cold.
