Cable Knit Sleeve V-Neck Pullover

The body of this pullover is smooth and plain; the cable knit is saved for the sleeves, where it runs the full length from shoulder to cuff. It is a quieter way to wear texture, with nothing competing across the chest, so a shirt collar or a necklace underneath still reads clearly. The yarn is soft-spun and mid-weight, warm enough to wear alone indoors and thin enough to slide under a coat sleeve without bunching.

The V-neckline is ribbed and holds its shape, as do the long cuffs and the hem, which keeps the knit sitting where you put it rather than stretching out by the afternoon. It is cut regular and close through the body with a set-in shoulder rather than a dropped one, so it tucks into a skirt or high-waisted trousers without bunching at the waist. The V is cut shallow, so it sits neatly over a shirt without exposing much.
