Brushed Gold Button Ankle Length Overcoat

Length is the whole argument for this coat. Alverra cut it to the ankle and then made sure it moves, shaping the waist with a seam at the back and letting the skirt flare gently from there so the hem sweeps rather than hangs straight. Two clean rows of gold buttons run up the double-breasted front and set the vertical line.

The lapel is wide and notched, standing away from the neck instead of lying flat against the chest, which is what keeps the proportions from tipping over at this length. The surface is brushed to a slightly plush finish that reads with depth under low light. Welt pockets sit at the hip, and the coat is fully lined so it moves cleanly over a dress or a suit.

Four colourways: Apricot, Gray, Red and Black. Sizes run S to 2XL in a regular fit, true to size and shaped through the waist with room to layer underneath; our model is 5'9" and wears the size S. Hand wash or dry clean. This is the coat for a wedding, a winter evening out, or any day that calls for something with occasion built into it. Over a long dress the two hems sit close together, which is where the coat looks best.
