Batwing Sleeve Open Front Longline Cardigan

The Alverra batwing cardigan is built for the hours that have no schedule. There are no buttons, no ties, nothing to fasten — the open front simply drapes, with a soft cardigan collar that rolls back on itself and follows the front edge down past the hip. It is the layer you pull on for a first coffee and are still wearing when the day has quietly turned into evening.

The batwing sleeve is what separates it from a plain open-front knit. Cut deep and wide from the body, it gives the cardigan its movement, then gathers into a ribbed cuff so the volume stops at the wrist instead of swallowing your hands. The knit is loose and oversized through the body, longline enough to cover the back of a pair of jeans, and light enough to keep on indoors without overheating.

Size down if you want less fabric around you; otherwise take your usual size and let it sit as it was cut. Sizes run S to 2XL in Gray, Khaki, Brown, Black and White — shades that stop it competing with whatever it is thrown over. Our model is 5'7" and wears a size S. Hand wash cold and dry it flat to keep the batwing sleeves from stretching out of shape.
