Balloon Sleeve Chunky Rib Open Front Cardigan

The Alverra balloon-sleeve cardigan is the one to reach for in the first week the air turns. A deep chunky rib runs through the body, and a garter knit yoke across the shoulders breaks that rib up, giving the top half a flatter, denser surface you notice most when the cardigan is worn open. It is a heavier knit than most open-front cardigans, and it feels like one.

The sleeves are the reason to choose it. They balloon wide from a drop shoulder and then gather into a fitted ribbed cuff, so there is real volume through the arm without any of it getting in the way at the wrist. The body falls longline past the hip with the same generous ease, and a deep ribbed hem keeps the weight of the knit hanging straight rather than flaring out.

Wear it as the outer layer on a mild day and under a coat when it is not. Khaki, Gray, Black and White, sizes S to 2XL, cut relaxed and true to size. Our model is 5'8" and wears a size S.
